Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) greater than the FLA, select the control power used to activate the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. The options for incoming power include "direct-online starter" if the line power is also the control power, or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, assuming the line and control voltage are the same; if different, the configuration is "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." This specific model features a 65A rating, is 1-phase with a separate coil voltage, includes a reset button only, operates on a 100-250V AC/DC coil, has a 36-47A overload relay, and meets NEMA 4X polycarbonate standards.
