Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage and confirm if the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. The starter should be rated for a current higher than the FLA of your motor. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload by picking a current range that includes the FLA. The options for the starter include the incoming power type; the starter can be a "direct-online starter" where the line power is the control power, or it can have a "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Additionally, if activation occurs via an external switch, terminals can be added for that control power input, labeled as "remote start terminals," assuming the line and control voltages are the same. If different voltages are used for line and control power, it is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 65A 1-phase separate control voltage start/stop, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 57-67A overload. The product meets NEMA 4X standards.
