The starter chosen should be rated for a current higher than the motor's FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must also be determined, along with selecting an overload that encompasses the motor's FLA. Additional criteria include assessing the incoming power configuration, which may involve either a "direct-online starter" if the line power serves as control power, or a "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation via an external switch, options for remote start terminals can be selected, accommodating configurations where line and control voltages are the same or different.
