Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for use with motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and is housed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To ensure the correct starter selection, verify the motor's full load amperage (FLA) from the nameplate based on the input voltage, making sure to note whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. The selected starter must have a current rating higher than the FLA. Additionally, choose the appropriate control power used to engage the contactor and select an overload relay that encompasses the motor's FLA. Further options include selecting between a direct-online starter if the line voltage serves as control power, or a configuration with separate control voltage if different from line voltage. For external activation, remote start terminals can be integrated, which allows for flexibility in control configurations. The motor starter features include a 65A rating, designed for single-phase applications, with a separate coil voltage option, start/stop functionality, and a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, paired with a 36-47A overload relay for protection.
