Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. For the overload, choose a current range that contains the FLA identified. The options for selection include incoming power types: direct-online starter if the line power is also the control power; separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage; or remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. Additionally, the features of the starter include a 65A rating, 1-phase operation, separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 50-60A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
