Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate and choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power to close the contactor and choose the overload by picking a current range that encompasses the FLA. The options include selecting incoming power as either a "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, "remote start terminals" can be added. Key features of the starter include a 65A rating, 1-phase configuration, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 44-53A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
