Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Select the control power used to close the contactor and then choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include whether the incoming power will be used as the control power, categorized as a "direct-online starter" if the voltages are the same, or "separate control voltage" if different. For starters requiring activation from an external switch, terminals for control power input are added, known as "remote start terminals," which can be configured for separate control voltage as well. Features include a 65A 1 phase separate control voltage with start/stop function, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 44-53A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
