Springer Controls manufactures a comprehensive line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. To choose the appropriate starter, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if the application requires 1 phase or 3 phase power. Select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA identified. Next, determine the control power used to actuate the contactor. Additionally, select the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power; for instance, a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates differing control voltage. Remote start terminals are available for activation from an external switch, and if different voltages are used for line and control power, it is specified as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals."
