Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on the current range containing the FLA. The options for the starter include direct-online starter, separate control voltage, and configurations for remote start terminals. Key features include an 80A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 65-78A overload, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
