Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to identify whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. It is crucial to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA identified. The selection can further be narrowed based on optional criteria, including incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter" for matching line and control power voltages and "separate control voltage" for different voltages, with options for "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required. The starters feature options such as 80A capacity, three-phase functionality, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button only, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 57-68A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
