Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To properly select a starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, confirming whether it uses 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter must be rated for a current higher than the FLA. The selection process includes choosing the control power for the contactor and the appropriate overload range containing the FLA. Optional features include incoming power configurations: "direct-online starter" for using line power as control power, "separate control voltage" for differing line and control voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The motor starters feature an 80A rating, 3-phase separate coil voltage, a reset button, and support a coil range of 100-250V AC/DC with a 75-87A overload capacity.
