Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate and ensure that the selected starter is rated for a current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, along with selecting an overload that contains the motor's FLA. Optional configurations include direct-online starters for matching line and control voltages, separate control voltages for differing line and control voltages, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. Key features of the starters include an 80A rating, three-phase compatibility, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, a 65-78A overload range, and a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
