Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring the selection of a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, along with appropriate control power and overload settings. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power, which may be configured as a direct-online starter if line power is also used for control or as a separate control voltage if they differ. Additionally, options for remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, accommodating varying line and control voltages. The motor starters feature 80A capacity, compatibility with 3-phase applications, a separate coil voltage, a reset button, and operate with a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, along with an overload range of 48-60A and a robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
