Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60 HP or 80 A. These assembled motor starters comprise a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. When selecting the proper starter, it is essential to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to determine the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. Additionally, the control power used to close the contactor should be chosen alongside the overload, which should be within a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. The options for configuration include "direct-online starter" for matching line and control power voltages, "separate control voltage" for differing voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The motor starters feature an 80 A rating, are designed for 3-phase applications, and are equipped with separate control voltage alongside remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 24-60 V AC/DC coil, and a 75-87 A overload relay.
