Product Details
Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for operation up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To choose the appropriate starter for your needs, begin by verifying the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Select a starter rated for a current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of your motor. You will also need to select the control power for closing the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Further, the starter options can be customized based on incoming power; if line power is used for control power, it is categorized as a "direct-on-line starter," while a "separate control voltage" is indicated when the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters activated from an external switch, terminals can be added to accept control power input. This setup is termed "remote start terminals" if the line and control voltages are the same, or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" when different voltages are in use. Key features of these starters include 80A capacity, single-phase configuration, separate control voltage operation, start/stop functionality, 24-60V AC/DC coil voltage, and an overload relay range of 57-68A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
