Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Ensure you know whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power and choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Control power can be selected based on whether the line power will be used as control power (Direct-On-Line starter) or whether a different control voltage is needed (Separate Control Voltage). Remote start terminals can be added to accommodate activation from an external switch. This starter model features an 80A capacity, operates on 1 phase, includes remote start terminals, has a reset button only, and is equipped with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 48-60A overload relay.
