Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power, and select a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA. The control power used to activate the contactor must also be determined, along with an overload relay that accommodates the FLA. The options for incoming power include "Direct-On-Line Starter" if the line power is the same as control power, "Separate Control Voltage" if they differ, or configurations with "Remote Start Terminals" for external switch activation. The kit features include an 80A capacity suitable for 1-phase applications, support for separate control voltage, a start/stop mechanism, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, a 65-78A overload range, and a robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate construction.
