Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on the current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if the line power serves as the control power, or "separate control voltage" if different. Additionally, if the starter needs to be activated from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added. This arrangement is compatible with the same line and control voltage or separate control voltage with remote start terminals. The motor starter features 80A rating, supports 1 phase, has a separate control voltage, includes a reset button only, and operates with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and 65-78A overload.
