Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1 phase or 3 phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, alongside selecting an overload that contains the FLA. The optional criteria for selection include incoming power; if the line power is utilized as the control power, this is a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is "separate control voltage." For external activation, terminals may be added for remote start terminals, assuming the line voltage and control voltage are the same. If using different voltages, it is "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features of this kit include 80A capacity, 1 phase configuration, direct online operation, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 65-78A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
