Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor and then select the control power for closing the contactor. The overload should be chosen based on a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configuration - direct-on-line starter for line power used as control power, separate control voltage if they differ, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. Key features include capabilities for 80A, 1 phase, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 57-68A, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
