The BeadBlaster™ 24 is designed for lysing, grinding, and homogenizing a wide variety of biological samples, achieving complete homogenization often in 35 seconds or less. This unit can accommodate up to 24 samples using a stainless steel tube carrier that subjects the samples to optimized high-speed 3D motion, creating high-energy impacts with micro-beads to release cellular contents. After homogenization, samples can be centrifuged, and the supernatant can be collected for further processing. Operating parameters are set and displayed digitally, and the device can be programmed for shortened consecutive cycles with rest intervals to protect heat-sensitive samples. Up to 50 programs can be stored in memory for future recall. The transparent lid allows visualization of samples and features a mechanical lock to prevent opening during operation. The brushless motor enhances quiet operation and ensures maintenance-free functionality. The kit includes sealed 2.0 ml tubes to avoid cross-contamination and offers a range of prefilled tube kits, including the popular Triple-Pure™ kits, which contain acid-washed, heat-treated zirconium beads tested to be free of nucleases, making them suitable for molecular biology applications. Additionally, a convenient starter kit (D1032-SK) is provided to cater to a broad range of sample types.
