The BeadBlaster™ 24R is a highly efficient bead homogenizer designed with built-in refrigeration to protect temperature-sensitive molecules from heat degradation and denaturation. It features true, compressor-based refrigeration, eliminating the need for dry ice, liquid nitrogen, or an external air supply. Users can set and precool the chamber to the desired temperature, which is maintained throughout the homogenization process. The stainless steel tube carrier can hold up to 24 samples, subjected to optimized, high-speed, 3D motion that facilitates high-energy impacts between the samples and micro-beads, efficiently releasing cellular contents. Operating parameters are digitally set and displayed, with the capability to store and recall 50 profiles for future use. The system is powered by a brushless motor, ensuring low noise and maintenance-free operation. Benchmark provides a range of prefilled tube kits for various sample types, including the Triple-Pure™ kits that consist of acid-washed, heat-treated zirconium beads tested to be free of nucleases, making them suitable for molecular biology applications. A convenient starter kit (D1032-SK) is also available to accommodate a broad range of sample types and optimize applications.
