These autoclavable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC), designed to withstand autoclaving at 120°C for 15 minutes. The top dome, molded from rigid and transparent PC, offers a crystal-clear view of the sample inside, while the knurled knob on the top ensures easy handling of the dome. The lower portion is manufactured from PP, and features an internal groove on the flange that accommodates a silicon rubber O-ring. To achieve an air-tight seal, vacuum grease should be applied to the flanges.
