The Eagle® 55 gallon lab pack/open head/straight sided drum is expertly constructed from yellow blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with UV inhibitors, making it both durable and lightweight while providing resistance to weather and chemicals. This drum features a white lid equipped with a metal lever-lock closure, ensuring secure containment. It is designed for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as for spill containment and cleanup. The drum is suitable for use with smaller non-damaged containers, including bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials, while ensuring that if used with leaking materials, sufficient sorbents must be included without any free liquids. Compliance standards include DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality, along with a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions of the drum are 20-5/8" (31cm) at the top, 22-1/8" (56.2cm) at the bottom, and a height of 35-13/16" (91cm).
