The Eagle® 55-gallon plastic drum is constructed from blue blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) featuring UV inhibitors, ensuring durability and lightweight handling. This weather and chemical-resistant drum is equipped with a white lid and a metal bolt ring closure, making it ideal for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as spill containment, cleanup of hazardous substances, original shipping, bio waste disposal, and incineration. The kit includes lab packs/open head drums suitable for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials. When used with leaking materials, it is necessary to pack with sufficient sorbents and ensure there are no free liquids present. The drum complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for food-grade quality, and it has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions are 20-5/8" (31cm) at the top, 22-1/8" (56.2cm) at the bottom, and 35-13/16" (91cm) in height.
