The Eagle® 55 gallon lab pack/open head/straight sided drum is made from black blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) featuring UV inhibitors, providing a durable, lightweight, weather and chemical resistant solution for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials. It includes a white lid with a metal lever-lock closure, making it suitable for spill containment, cleanup of hazardous materials, original shipping container use, and bio waste disposal or incineration. This drum is designed for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials; if used with leaking materials, it must be packed with sufficient sorbents and contain no free liquids. It meets DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality standards and has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions are 20-5/8" (31 cm) at the top, 22-1/8" (56.2 cm) at the bottom, and 35-13/16" (91 cm) in height.
