The Eagle® 30 gallon lab pack/open head drum is constructed of black blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with UV inhibitors, ensuring durability and lightweight characteristics while also being weather and chemical resistant. The drum features a white lid secured with a metal lever-lock band closure, making it ideal for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as for spill containment and cleanup, original shipping container usage, and bio waste disposal and incineration. This lab pack/open head drum is designed for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials, with the stipulation that leaking containers must be packed with sufficient sorbents and contain no free liquids. It complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality requirements and has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions of the drum measure 19" (48.5 cm) at the top, 16-1/4" (41.3 cm) at the bottom, and a height of 26-3/8" (67 cm).
