The Eagle® 55 gallon lab pack/open head/straight sided drum is constructed of black blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with UV inhibitors, ensuring durability and lightweight characteristics while being weather and chemical resistant. It features a white lid with a metal lever-lock band closure, making it ideal for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as for spill containment and cleanup. This drum is designed for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials; if used with leaking materials, it must be packed with sufficient sorbents and contain no free liquids. The drum complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality standards, and it has a UL 94HB flammability rating. It includes 1x2" and 1x3/4" bung holes, with interior dimensions of 20-5/8" (31cm) at the top, 22-1/8" (56.2cm) at the bottom, and a height of 35-13/16" (91cm).
