The Eagle® 10 gallon lab pack/open head drum is constructed of blue blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with UV inhibitors, providing durability and lightweight characteristics, along with weather and chemical resistance. It features a white lid secured by a metal lever-lock band closure, making it ideal for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, spill containment, cleanup of hazardous materials, original shipping container use, bio waste disposal, and incineration. The drum includes nestable storage to optimize shipping and storage space, is capable of operating in a temperature range of -30° F to 130° F, and has undergone drop testing at maximum weight at 0° F for 48 hours. It is designed for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and non-leaking hazardous materials, and when used with leaking containers, it must be packed with sufficient sorbents with no free liquids present. The drum complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and is approved for FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality, and has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions are 14-1/8" (35.9 cm) at the top, 12-3/8" (31.4 cm) at the bottom, and 18" (45.7 cm) in height.
