The Eagle® 14 gallon lab pack/open head drum is made from black blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) that includes UV inhibitors, providing durability and lightweight characteristics, along with resistance to weather and chemicals. It comes equipped with a white lid that features a plastic lever-lock band closure, making it ideal for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as spill containment and cleanup, serving as an original shipping container, and for bio waste disposal and incineration. The drum is specifically designed for use with smaller non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials; if used with leaking containers, it must be packed with sufficient sorbents to ensure there are no free liquids. The drum complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for food-grade quality, and it has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions are 13-1/2 inches (34.3 cm) at the top, 12-3/8 inches (31.4 cm) at the bottom, and a height of 25 inches (63.5 cm).
