The Eagle® 40 gallon lab pack/open head drum is constructed of blue blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with UV inhibitors, making it durable, lightweight, weather and chemical resistant, featuring a white lid with a metal lever-lock band closure. This drum is ideal for safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, spill containment and cleanup, original shipping container use, and bio waste disposal and incineration. It is designed for use with smaller non-damaged containers such as bottles, cans, carboys, and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials. In situations involving leaking materials, it must be packed with sufficient sorbents and contain no free liquids. This product complies with DOT 49 CFR 173.12 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality standards and has a UL 94HB flammability rating. The interior dimensions of the drum are 22-7/8" (58.1 cm) at the top, 18-3/4" (48.3 cm) at the bottom, and a height of 29-13/16" (98 cm).
