Lyon's® bulk storage rack starter with ribbed decking is designed for hand-loading intermediate weight bulky items and is suitable for various storage applications including shipping and receiving departments, retail display and back stock, as well as hospital medical supply storage. The steel storage rack features a durable powder coat finish in dove gray to protect against everyday use. The kit includes two fully welded uprights made from 14-gauge steel with tubular bracing MIG welded to the post for added stability; these uprights have slots enabling quick vertical adjustment of beams without dead spots, and each pair can support up to 10,000 lbs. The heavy-duty beams are constructed of 14-gauge steel in a unique "Z" beam design that enhances strength, load capacity, and tip resistance while eliminating wasted space. The beams have MIG welded clips and three studs at each end for engagement with the uprights, allowing tool-free installation and adjustment on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers, with fold-in lock tabs to prevent accidental displacement. Additional levels can be added using ribbed decking to expand storage capacity. The overall system complies with industrial metal rack standards and is designed for robust performance with easy customization and reliable load-bearing capacity.
