Lyon's® bulk storage rack starter with particle board decking is designed for hand-loading intermediate weight bulky items and is suitable for a variety of storage applications including shipping and receiving departments, retail displays, back stock, and medical supply storage in hospitals. The heavy-duty steel storage rack features a durable dove gray powder coat finish to protect against everyday use. The kit includes two fully welded uprights made of 14-gauge steel, each upright featuring tubular bracing that is MIG welded to the post for added stability, with slots that allow for quick and easy vertical adjustment of beams without dead spots along the entire height of the post; a single pair of uprights can support up to 10,000 lbs. The heavy-duty beams are also made of 14-gauge steel and incorporate a unique "Z" beam design to increase strength, load capacity, and resist tipping while maximizing space efficiency. These beams have MIG welded clips for added strength, with three studs at each end to engage with the upright slots, adjustable on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers, and install without tools for easy level spacing changes. A fold-in lock tab on each beam engages the post to prevent accidental displacement. The particle board decking provides additional storage surface, allowing for multiple levels as needed.
