Lyon's® bulk storage rack starter with particle board decking is designed for the hand-loading of intermediate weight bulky items and is suitable for various storage applications including shipping and receiving departments, retail display and back stock, and medical supply storage in hospitals. The rack features a durable powder coat finish in dove gray that protects the steel shelving from everyday use. The starter kit includes two fully welded uprights made of 14-gauge steel with tubular bracing MIG welded to the posts for added stability. The uprights have slots allowing quick vertical adjustment of beams on 1-1/2-inch centers without "dead spots," and each pair of uprights can support up to 10,000 lbs. The heavy-duty beams, also made of 14-gauge steel, utilize a unique "Z" beam design to increase strength and load capacity while resisting tipping and eliminating wasted space. Beams feature MIG welded clips and three studs on each end to engage the uprights securely, and they install without tools, with a fold-in lock tab to prevent accidental displacement. Additional levels with particle board decking can be added to create more storage options. The particle board decking is durable and suitable for supporting stored items.
