The 8x5/8 Phillips flat thread cutting screw type 25 is a fully threaded zinc bake screw designed for exceptional chip clearance, making it ideal for use in molded or through holes in plastics and other soft materials. The screws are constructed from steel, which is suitable for applications where the material into which the screw is cutting threads has a lower hardness by 10-20 Rockwell hardness. With a flat head design, these screws are perfect for situations where the protrusion of the fastener above the mating surface is not acceptable, featuring either a typical 100-degree flat or an 82-degree flat for fastening softer materials.
