The Universal Adaptaplate is designed for direct mounting on surfaces or electrical boxes and is suitable for outdoor use when paired with a 449 back box. It accommodates gong sizes of 4 inches. The DC vibrating bells produce a long, continuous ringing sound, with the striker striking the gong in a rapid-fire action as long as current is applied. The Adaptaplate can fit any single gang box measuring 3 1/4 inches (83mm), 3 1/2 inches (89mm), or 4 inches (102mm) octagon box, as well as any plaster cover with mounting holes on 2 3/4 inches (70mm) centers. Additionally, 6-inch and 10-inch bells can also be mounted on 4 inches (102mm) square boxes. This product is specified for timing scheduling and general alarm applications.
