The Universal Adaptaplate is designed for direct mounting on surfaces or electrical boxes, offering weatherproof capabilities when equipped with the appropriate back box. This completely assembled unit comes with all necessary hardware and features a shockproof die cast housing, ensuring durability. Its dustproof construction is suitable for various applications, utilizing AC vibrating bells that generate a long, continuous ringing sound; the striker strikes the gong in rapid-fire action as long as current is applied. The Universal Adaptaplate can be mounted directly on surfaces or fit any single-gang box measuring 3 1/4" (83 mm), 3 1/2" (89 mm), or a 4" (102 mm) octagon box, as well as any plaster cover with mounting holes on 2 3/4" (70 mm) centers. Additionally, 6" and 10" bells can be mounted on 4" (102 mm) square boxes. This product is specified for timing scheduling, paging, and general alarm applications, with 4" (102 mm) sizes recommended for quiet office areas, 6" (152 mm) sizes for moderate noise level environments like general factory areas, and 10" (254 mm) sizes for high noise areas such as heavy machine shops. It is available with full cast grids and protective grilles, and may be weatherproofed with the addition of a weatherproof box. Adaptabel accessories offer additional options for customization.
