The 86 Series valves are constructed from premium quality barstock, ensuring long-lasting durability, and are standard with a 316 grade stainless steel ball and stem. The seats and seals are made from glass-filled reinforced PTFE (P.T.F.E), which is chemically inert and suitable for a wide range of media and applications. These valves feature standard port construction for excellent flow characteristics. The 500 Series pneumatic actuators employ a reliable rack and pinion design, coupled with a valve-to-actuator mounting design that precisely aligns the actuator drive shaft with the valve stem. Additionally, the valve stem nut is fixed with the actuator shaft, resulting in a pneumatically actuated ball valve that minimizes backlash, assures optimum stem seal life, and prevents stem nut back off. The actuators are permanently lubricated, eliminating the need for a lubricated air supply. Key features include a self-compensating valve stem seal design for long, leak-tight maintenance-free service, bubble-tight closure with each valve bubble tested for leak-free service as installed, and a 100% duty cycle performance. The compact size and lightweight construction enhance usability, while the actuator boasts PTFE impregnated hard anodized surfaces and stainless steel external trim for excellent corrosion resistance. Additional features include a manual override, standard in-line or cross-mount valve to actuator configurations, NPT air connections for remote piloting, and NAMUR interface for direct solenoid valve piloting. Optional pilot/solenoid valves and limit switches are available. The product is made in the U.S.A. in Raymond, New Hampshire.
