The 2452THS horn/strobe kit includes synchronized audible and synchronized visual signals, supervised wiring, and terminals for easy wiring, featuring a red or white flame-resistant housing made of engineered thermoplastic with a UL flame rating of 94V-0. The strobe is available in 15/75 and 17 candela models and is specifically designed for use with compatible life safety communication and control equipment to alert occupants of a life safety event. The horn emits a low-frequency sound configurable for steady or temporal tone signal at either low (94 dBA) or high (98 dBA) output. When using temporal output, all horns on a common two-wire circuit self-synchronize without the need for external control modules. The strobe complies with UL synchronization requirements, achieving synchronization within 7 milliseconds over a two-hour period when paired with a separately installed EG1M signal master and is fully compatible with Genesis signals to minimize disorientation risk for individuals sensitive to multiple flashes of light. The device is suitable for installation in restrooms, meeting rooms, lobbies, hallways, sleeping rooms, work areas for the hearing impaired, or any area needing a visual alarm signal.
