Vented aluminum standing seam roof smoking shelters are designed for outdoor smoking environments in office buildings, campus universities, and other settings, providing a designated smoking area while protecting smokers from extreme weather. These shelters feature an extruded aluminum bench and backrest along the rear wall for added comfort and convenience, also serving as bus stops. The air flow vented roof minimizes smoke build-up inside, contributing to OSHA compliance and potentially lowering insurance premiums. Constructed with industrial-grade standards, these smoking shelters are made of dark bronze anodized aluminum with an 11" wide standing seam roof comprised of color-coordinated Dutch seam aluminum panels mounted on a structural frame. Clear 1/4" thick tempered safety glass forms the panels, and the shelters are pre-fabricated in sections for easy assembly and economical shipping. All models comply with ADA requirements, and options include three-sided shelters with an open front (suffix "A"), four-sided shelters with left and right front openings (suffix "B"), and four-sided shelters with a left front opening (suffix "C"). Custom designs and sizes are available. It is important to note that due to Florida building codes, wind-load requirements range from 130 mph to 180 mph, and some shelters may not be sold in Florida. Shelters sold in Florida will necessitate engineering services at an additional cost, and site-specific engineered drawings and calculations for building code compliance are available for an additional charge if required.
