Space saver desiccators are designed to hold a full vacuum of 29.9" HG (75.9 CM) at room temperature for 24 hours and maintain an airtight seal even when not under vacuum. The kit includes a polypropylene stopcock with a PTFE plug that accommodates 6.4 mm (1/4") I.D. tubing, allowing for controlled air access to prevent unnecessary turbulence. The flat-top dome enhances interior space, while a neoprene O-ring ensures a tight seal down to 0°C without the necessity for grease, although the ring can withstand grease if applied. All models come equipped with a 0.32 cm (1/8") thick perforated plate, offering excellent functionality and versatility.
