The Flanged Ball Valves are designed with ductile iron construction and feature a PTFE® fused ball, available in the 4000 and 3700 series. This PTFE® fused ball is engineered to be more durable and less prone to buildup compared to an unprotected ball, ensuring a longer lifespan. The manufacturing process, developed in collaboration with DuPont, allows for a .008" layer of PTFE® to be impregnated into a solid metal ball, accompanied by an additional .004" applied electrostatically for enhanced smoothness. This design prevents flaking, chipping, or peeling of the coating, while offering excellent corrosion and chemical resistance recognized globally. The lubricity of the PTFE® ball contributes to lower torque ratings across various applications, thereby simplifying operation and enabling the use of smaller, more cost-effective actuators. The product line includes a range of actuators, gear operators, and operating nuts specifically for the 4000 series, and features a four-bolt actuator mounting pad, which is ideal for automation applications.
