AFLAS® is an elastomer composed of a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and propylene, notable for its exceptional resistance to petroleum products, steam, phosphate esters, and brake fluids. It demonstrates media compatibility properties akin to ethylene propylene and fluorocarbon, offering fair resistance to brake fluids and phosphate esters while providing good resistance to petroleum oils. The standard cure system is peroxide-cured, ensuring durability and performance. The material is suitable for a temperature range from -10°C (14°F) at the low end to 220°C (428°F) at the high end, making it versatile for various applications.
