Product Details
The elastomer is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and propylene, known as AFLAS®, which is characterized by its exceptional resistance to petroleum products, steam, phosphate esters, and brake fluids. It demonstrates media compatibility properties that are somewhat similar to ethylene propylene and fluorocarbon, with fair resistance to brake fluids and phosphate esters, while also showing good resistance to petroleum oils. The cure system utilized is peroxide-cured, with standard AFLAS® compounds being peroxide-cured. The temperature range for this material includes a standard low temperature of -10°C (-14°F) and a standard high temperature of 220°C (428°F).
