The Armored Textiles N52H25HDW50N Jafline HD double jacket fire hose measures 2-1/2" x 50 ft and operates at a working pressure of 400 PSI. It features a highly durable and lightweight design, utilizing a polyurethane lining that meets or exceeds the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard from the 2013 edition. The hose is compliant with the NSF 61 standard for potable water, ensuring that it contains materials approved for health effects in drinking water systems. The outer and inner jackets are made from virgin spun polyester yarn, which makes the hose lighter and more flexible compared to cotton-synthetic hoses, enabling efficient storage. The outer jacket is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and UV light, and it is heat set at 275°F. The thermoplastic lining is a single-ply extruded tube that is resistant to ozone and free from defects, with no reclaimed material used; its thickness ranges from .015 to .018 inches for smaller hoses and .022 to .025 inches for the 2-1/2" size. The liner exhibits a shore hardness of 40 ± 5 durometer on the "D" scale and a tensile strength of no less than 3000 PSI, with a minimum elongation of 400%. Additionally, the adhesion between the liner and the inside jacket is robust enough that the separation rate of a 1.5" wide strip cut transversely does not exceed 1" per minute over a ten-minute duration under a weight of 15 pounds. Lining specimens subjected to an accelerated aging test at 158°F ± 3.6°F for 96 hours will be conditioned to ASTM D 573 and ASTM D 4112 standards.
