The Armored Textiles N50H25RY50N JAFRIB standard nitrile fire hose measures 2-1/2" x 50 ft and is rated for 300 PSI, featuring a yellow color. This superior nitrile rubber hose is designed for supply and attack operations where resistance to petroleum, chemicals, and abrasion is essential. It meets or exceeds the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition. The hose is constructed from 100% high tenacity synthetic yarn, which is circular woven and completely protected by tough, highly ozone resistant synthetic nitrile rubber through a single through-the-weave extrusion process, resulting in a homogenous construction without the use of glues or adhesives. The lining properties indicate that the tensile strength of the lining and cover is no less than 1750 PSI, with an ultimate elongation of not less than 500% and a permanent elongation not greater than 25%. The adhesion between the liner and the inside jacket ensures that the separation rate of a 1.5" wide strip cut transversely does not exceed 1" per minute over ten minutes under a 16-pound weight. Additionally, the hose undergoes accelerated aging tests at 158°F ± 3.6°F for 96 hours, as per ASTM D 573, and maintains at least 75% of its initial tensile and elongation properties. The hose is also capable of functioning at temperatures as low as -35°F, demonstrating no apparent damage to the jacket or lining after a 3-foot section is subjected to these temperatures for 24 hours and then rapidly bent 180 degrees.
