The Armored Textiles N55H1F100N Forest Lite single jacket fire hose measures 1" x 100 ft and operates at a pressure rating of 300 psi, featuring a white exterior. Designed specifically for wildland fire suppression, the Forest Lite is a lightweight, single jacket hose that is polyurethane-lined. It complies with the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition. The hose is offered in two diameters: 1" and 1.5". Its jacket is constructed from virgin spun high tenacity polyester, which is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light. The compound is heat set at 250° F. The thermoplastic lining consists of a single-ply extruded tube that remains unaffected by ozone, featuring a smooth finish without pits or imperfections and no reclaimed material used. The liner's tensile strength is a minimum of 2000 psi, with a maximum elongation of 10 percent. The adhesion between the liner and the jacket is designed so that a 1.5" wide strip cut transversely will not separate at a rate greater than 1" per minute over ten minutes under a 12-pound weight. Lining specimens experience accelerated aging through exposure at 158° F ± 3.6° F for 96 hours and are conditioned to ASTM D 573. Subsequently, they are tested according to ASTM D4112, ensuring that the tensile and elongation properties remain at least 75% of their initial values. The hose includes expansion-type couplings available in hard coat anodized aluminum or brass, with NST couplings as standard and one-quarter turn couplings available via special order, all conforming to NFPA 1963, standard for fire hose connections, 2009 edition.
