The Armored Textiles N55H1F50N Forest Lite single jacket fire hose measures 1" x 50 ft and is rated for 300 psi, designed specifically for wildland fire suppression applications. This hose meets or exceeds the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition. It is available in diameters of 1" and 1.5" and features a jacket made from virgin spun high tenacity polyester, which is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light, and is heat set at 250° F. The thermoplastic lining is a single-ply extruded tube, free from pits or imperfections, with a tensile strength of no less than 2000 psi and a maximum elongation of 10 percent. The adhesion between the liner and the inside jacket ensures that the separation rate of a transverse strip does not exceed 1" per minute under a 12-pound weight over ten minutes. Lining specimens exposed to 158° F +/- 3.6° F for 96 hours are conditioned according to ASTM D 573, with subsequent testing adhering to ASTM D4112, ensuring that both tensile and elongation properties of the liner maintain at least 75% of their initial values. Couplings, available in either hard coat anodized aluminum or brass, include NST as the standard and one quarter turn couplings available by special order, all in compliance with NFPA 1963, standard for fire hose connections, 2009 edition. The hose also passes the cold bend test for damage to jacket or lining.
