The Armored Textiles N52H15HDO50N Jafline HD double jacket fire hose measures 1-1/2" x 50 ft and has a maximum working pressure of 400 PSI in an orange color. This highly durable and lightweight fire attack hose features a superior double jacket construction that is polyurethane-lined and meets or exceeds the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition. It also complies with the potable water standard NSF 61, as it contains materials approved by the National Sanitation Foundation for listed drinking water system components related to health effects. The outer and inner jackets are constructed of virgin spun polyester yarn, making the hose lighter and more flexible than cotton-synthetic alternatives, allowing for more compact storage. The outer jacket is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light, with the compound heat set at 275°F. The thermoplastic lining is a single-ply extruded tube, unaffected by ozone, with a smooth finish, free from pits or imperfections, and made without reclaimed materials; the thickness ranges from .015 to .018 inches for 1", 1-1/2", and 1-3/4" hoses, and .022" to .025" for the 2-1/2" hose. The Shore hardness is 40 ± 5 durometer on the "D" scale, and the tensile strength of the liner is no less than 3000 PSI with a minimum elongation of 400%. The adhesion between the liner and the inside jacket ensures that the separation rate of a 1.5" wide strip cut transversely does not exceed 1" per minute over ten minutes under a 15-pound weight. Lastly, lining specimens have been subjected to accelerated aging tests at 158°F ± 3.6°F for 96 hours in accordance with ASTM D 573 and ASTM D4112 standard test methods.
