The Armored Textiles N51H3LNW50N Jafline Double Jacket Fire Hose measures 3" x 50 ft and has a pressure rating of 400 PSI. This highly durable and lightweight fire attack hose is engineered with double jackets and polyurethane lining, meeting or exceeding the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard from the 2013 edition. It complies with the NSF 61 potable water standard, ensuring that the materials used are approved for drinking water system components. The jacket is constructed from virgin spun polyester yarn, making it lighter and more flexible than traditional cotton-synthetic hoses, allowing for efficient storage. The outer jacket is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light, set at a heat of 275°F. The thermoplastic lining is a single-ply extruded tube that is unaffected by ozone and free from imperfections, with a thickness of .015 to .018 inches for smaller diameters and .022 to .025 inches for 2-1/2" hoses. The liner exhibits a Shore hardness of 40 ± 5 durometer on the "D" scale, a tensile strength of no less than 3000 PSI, and a minimum elongation rate of 400%. The adhesion between the liner and inside jacket is designed to ensure that the rate of separation does not exceed 1" per minute under a weight of 15 pounds over a ten-minute duration. The lining also undergoes accelerated aging tests conditioned to ASTM D 573 and ASTM D4112 standards when exposed to 158°F ± 3.6°F for 96 hours.
